(Tulsa World March 29, 2011)

Patricia "Pat" Ann Gillett Stapp, passed away peacefully, yet suddenly, with her family by her side in the early morning of March 25, 2011, in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

Pat was born March 6, 1949 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to Pete and Thelma Gillett. Pat lived most of her life in Tulsa. She was a devoted daughter, wife, mother, sister, aunt and friend to many. Pat loved The Lord and her faith was the utmost important part of her life. Pat enjoyed spending time with her beloved husband, Michael. Pat treasured her children, Jennifer D. Coonfield Kelly and her husband Derek Kelly and Michael Coonfield and his wife Michelle Coonfield. They were an integral part of her life and she enjoyed the times spent with them.

Pat cherished her precious grandchildren, Madeleine Kelly, Olivia Kelly, Parker Coonfield, and Finley Kelly. She enjoyed spending time with them and spoiled them as any grandmother does. She is also survived by her father, Pete Gillett of Tulsa, brother, Michael E. Gillett of Longwood, Florida. Pat graduated from Nathan Hale High School in 1967. She then attended and graduated from University of Tulsa. She was also a member of the TU Delta Gamma fraternity while at TU. Pat earned her bachelor's degree in Special Education and began teaching for Tulsa Public Schools. In the meantime, she earned her master's degree in special education from Northeastern State University. She spent all but a year of her teaching career at Mark Twain Elementary. She adored the children, parents, staff; and teachers at Mark Twain. She went to work daily with joy for 37 years at her beloved Mark Twain.

We will celebrate Pat's life at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, March 29, at First Christian Church of Tulsa in the chapel. A private, family graveside service will be held at Park Grove Cemetery, Broken Arrow. Memorial donations may be made to First Christian Church of Tulsa, 913 S. Boulder Ave. Tulsa
